Moving on Up Awards: inspring shortlist announced!

We know that there are countless individuals out there championing equity, diversity and inclusion. Yet, there’s a small subsect of that group, particularly geared towards addressing the disparities faced by young Black men, aged 16-24, in London – and who have been striving to understand and improve employment outcomes for this talented but disproprortionately underrepresented group.

For the past ten years, we’ve been working closely with a committed group of employers, partners and government bodies to ensure that more is done to address employment disparities faced by young Black men, who are up to three times more likey to be unemployed compared to their white counterparts.

This is regardless of qualification level or type.

Today, we’re delighted to reveal the shortlist for the Moving On Up Awards, which is celebrating individuals and organisations who have been working hard over the last decade, to ensure more is done to address the employment disparities impacting young Black men.

The judges were impressed by the passion and dedication evidenced through the nominations, especially of the young Black men supporting their peers and networks through their own efforts and initiatives.

The winners will be announced at a special Moving on Up Award ceremony at WTW on 20th March – stay tuned for more news through our social media channels and ARE voices.
