Development Studies Graduate
Ishitha graduated from King’s with a degree in Development Studies and is committed to working in social justice. As a woman of colour, she is passionate about addressing barriers to education and employment, particularly for young people.
She also hopes to examine the impact of policies like Prevent on ethnic minority communities and how they contribute to systemic inequality. Ishitha aspires to work in the Civil Service or research, influencing change for a fairer future.
Whilst studying a BA in International Development, Ishitha previously was part of the very first Youth Action Network cohort in 2024, when the group was limited to just six members. She was also a panelist for the Social Mobility Foundation, a member of the WOW’s (Women of the World’s) Youth Directory and has performed a speech regarding India’s military involvement in Kashmir at the Mulberry Youth Conference 2020.
