Senior Safeguarding Manager
After studying Psychology with Criminology at University, Ashton went into support work for adults with learning disabilities. After 2 years, Ashton decided to return to university to study for her master’s in social work.
This gave her direction in her career and led her to pursue Social Work, where she took on additional skills such as qualifying in positive psychology coaching. After 6 years, Ashton decided to leave frontline social work and begin exploring ways to use her skills and qualifications in other ways and started her role in safeguarding in football in 2021.
Having benefited from mentorship, Ashton sees its value and believes everyone should have the opportunity to be mentored and wants to be a part of that.
