A former journalist, Cornelius brings over 35 years of public sector experience, having worked with organisations such as the Metropolitan Police, the London Mayor’s Office (GLA), London Probation, and healthcare services in Vancouver, Canada.
He has delivered media relations support for major police incidents, helped develop the communications function at the GLA during its early years, and led a significant change communications project at Vancouver Coastal Health.
Since 2010, Cornelius has played a key role in driving efforts to increase the number of PR professionals from underrepresented communities across the UK. He currently sits on the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ EDI Committee and is a mentor through the Taylor Bennett Foundation’s Reverse Mentoring Scheme.
In addition to his professional work, Cornelius volunteers in his local area, offering communications advice to the Friends of Pymmes Park.
