Bowale is ARE’s Policy & Research Officer (Stakeholder Engagement). Since graduating from the University of Kent with a Law degree, Bowale has volunteered with charities and worked with civil society organisations like the Runnymede Trust. As a participant in the first Unbound Trainee cohort, she gained experience in policy development, research and partnership building.
Bowale joins ARE after two years working as an office manager at Women’s Resource Centre, where she oversaw core functions including leading external communications, liaising with stakeholders and managing member organisations. Notably, she co-led the organisation of two successful in-person conferences as well as published two annual reports.
Bowale is passionate and curious about achieving social justice for historically underrepresented communities by holding the state to account and influencing positive and intersectional change. As a policy and research officer, Bowale hopes to contribute to ARE’s mission to end race inequality.
