Hello from Action For Race Equality!
We are delighted to have rebranded and relaunched Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) as Action for Race Equality this February. This change marks 30 years since our origins in 1991, and puts a renewed focus on the solutions-based and action oriented core of our race equality work.
Read up on why we’ve changed our name this year.
Alongside a new name, we have also created a fresh new website to better reflect the work we are doing across employment, education and criminal justice to improve outcomes for Black, Asian and mixed heritage people in the UK.
We’ve introduced lots of new content to our website too.
You’ll now find it easier to discover information on our project pages to see all the work we are doing for Routes2Success (a role model and mentoring programme for ethnic minority young people), Moving on Up (a ground-breaking employment initiative aimed at improving employment outcomes for London’s young black men aged 16-24) and EQUAL (a national independent advisory group set up to tackle racial disparity in the criminal justice system) all in one place.
We’ve also included a whole load of information relevant to our younger audiences, schools and parents to ensure that the next generation is able to access vital resources to see them through their journey.
Furthermore, all our past reports and research projects have been gathered so that you’ll be able to search our publications with ease.
We have also created a dedicated and growing space for blogs and articles called ARE Voices where you’ll be able to read up on the latest updates from us and guest writers.
We hope you enjoy using this new site and continue to engage with us as you have done for the last 30 years. We couldn’t have done it without you.
