He was awarded a scholarship to study a Masters Degree in Stage & Screenwriting. He is a big lover of storytelling in all its forms, whether that is art, film, literature or theatre. From an early age his grandfather has been one of his biggest influences and inspirations. As a pioneer of the original Windrush Generation he always told DD wonderful stories of growing up in the Caribbean and migrating to the UK.
