PR & Communications Apprentice

William is ARE’s PR & Communications apprentice. With a degree in Journalism from Kingston University, he is passionate about
using his skills in Press Relations and communications to support
underrepresented ethnic minority groups and organisations, ensuring they get
the visibility and resources they need to thrive.
While at university, William wrote for The River, a
student-led publication, where he collaborated with students from diverse backgrounds to highlight issues often overlooked in mainstream media. During this time, he worked on a series of projects, including blogs and
articles centred on Black history, cultural events and issues effecting students around campus, helping to raise awareness and bring these important stories to a broader audience.
William’s passion for journalism stems from his love of writing and his desire to advocate for social causes. At ARE, he looks forward to further developing his PR skills and making a meaningful impact, both for the organisation and the important communities it serves.
