Stephen Roach

Before joining ARE, Stephen built his career in the public sector while also serving as a volunteer role model in the R2S Programme. This experience inspired him to pursue a dedicated path in youth and programme work.
 
Stephen has also been involved in two independent businesses within media and publishing, platforms dedicated to amplifying Black voices and celebrating Black culture. He strongly believes that sharing our experiences is transformative and essential for challenging racial inequalities.
 
An advocate for mentorship, Stephen is passionate about empowering young people to realise their potential. He is eager to bring his lived experience and knowledge to ARE, contributing to its mission for racial equality.
