Maanya is a Programme Support Officer at Action for Race Equality (ARE) providing delivery support and committed to advancing the organisation’s mission to end racial inequality.
She holds a degree in International Politics and Sociology BA (Hons) and International Politics and Human Rights (MA) at City, University of London where she gained a solid foundation in global issues and human rights frameworks. Her studies deepened her understanding of how national and international systems are shaped by institutional racism, knowledge she now applies to her work at ARE.
Maanya’s passion for policy and advocacy led her to work as a consultant for “LSE Cities” at the London School of Economics, focusing on creating more equitable and sustainable environments.
She also developed a strong interest in media and communications, undertaking journalism modules during her degree. This experience led to marketing roles across the charity and private sectors, including the British Council.
