D&I and Change Consultant
Born in Sheffield in the 1980s, Maddy went to a state secondary school where the only other person of colour she can remember was her sister, teaching her the importance of visible role models. She went on to study English and African Studies at Birmingham University with a passion for African and Caribbean literature as well as African history.
She is now a consultant specialising in change management and race equity, advising organisations on internal culture and delivering training workshops.
Prior to this, Maddy spent over 10 years working in communications and marketing across the public, private and third sectors. Maddy is also a qualified secondary English teacher, working in London schools as a teacher, safeguarding lead and pastoral manager.
