Action for Race Equality is looking for an experienced and charismatic leader to become our new Deputy Chief Executive!
The Deputy Chief Executive role is a vital position within Action for Race Equality’s management and leadership team, and an opportunity for someone with a strong commitment to race equity to strengthen the work of ARE and the race equality sector through effective strategic leadership and collaboration.
About the role:
The Deputy Chief Executive will work closely with the Chief Executive, Finance Associate and Board of Trustees and have line management responsibilities, leading the development and implementation of our strategic and organisational plans for the charity and its commercial arm, ARE Enterprise Ltd.
This is the perfect position for an experienced leader to make their mark on a small but ambitious team and the wider Black, Asian and minority-led voluntary & community sector.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and capability as an effective leader with a strong commitment to race equity and collaborative working across sectors. They will demonstrate excellent strategic planning, project management and communication skills, and have experience of influencing change in the context of managing multi-level challenges.
