Race Equality and Schools, A Guide for Parents and Carers

The Equality Act 2010 placed several duties on schools with regard to race equality. They have to act to create an environment in which racial discrimination and disadvantage is held to be unacceptable. This guide helps parents and carers know what the law says and understand their rights and they need to know what they can do – and what their children can do – to stop racial discrimination and disadvantage, and achieve race equality.
